You – that is your identity.
In the fluid times of the cybervillage, you can extend the traces of you and your identity to every spot where you can login to the collective consciousness that gets traced every day by Google – the Internet. The same engine that breaks down boundaries and collapses distance, speeds up the dynamics of change, and makes whole organizational structures obsolete – sometimes overnight. An example in itself is the mentioned Google – an identity now commonplace as a verb in itself – “googling”. In fact, it is the thirteenth big search engine!

Since it is about you, me – and us – in this new environment, the term “social media” has been set, where the power is at your hand to shape your content, your context, your connections – in short, your world. In this environment, and with this power, it is more important than ever to be aware and secure of what you are and what you do – and mainly your identity is expressed in two dimensions, your “self-identity” and your “social identity”. To live in harmony with you and your surroundings, you need to be aware of both – and then develop an identity reflected in both dimensions, inward as well as outward, that harmonizes with your higher self and your potential:
- What do you stand for?
- What do you love to do and what is your passion?
- What do you want to create and what legacy do you want to leave behind you?
- What’s your dream?
Flow – a concept with many meanings.
Panta Rei – you cannot step into the same river twice, as coined by Herakleitos. RSS feeds flows. When in creative mode it can be described as a state of “flow”. Your creation taken into action leads to a flow of events, eventually time stamped in a general lifestream traceable on the net [here is mine]. And, at the end of the day, you need to have one thing as a result of the created upgrading of your flow – from individual flow moving into social interaction, to meet the next challenge and realize your next idea – and that is cash flow.
As concluded, everything flows.
How can your identity – your “personal brand” – be clarified, developed and uploaded, and how can the being of you and your flows of ideas, (inter)actions and events be upgraded? And how can your YouFlow maintain deepest meaning for sustaining both you and your world in harmony?
